Arcade Community Support

Continued Support

We will dedicate our selves to find the best answers to questions that have been submitted to us over the years.
That's right! We've spent years being asked many different questions and resolving many different issues. We have posted our most frequently asked questions here.

Most common questions.

1

What is a Community Staff member?

Community Staff consist of Admins and Helpers. Helpers appear all over Arcade assisting users with the most common support issues.

GameSpy Admins are Arcade Administration members, who also help, but also take care of the chat server and all it's visitors.

Why must I allow my game through my firewall?

You must allow your game through your firewall in order for it to be able to be played online. You can learn how to configure your firewall in our Firewall worshop in our workshops page.

3

Why do the configuration files for my game seem to stay on the "downloading" when I try to go to my games chat lobby?

There are some issues with the files not downloading correctly due to the server information not being available. However you can download most configuration files from this software. Click here Note: We do not have every configuratation file available on Arcade as of yet, but we are working hard to get them all.

What is the official support department link?

The official support department has unfortunately been closed. The official word is as followed: "We are sad to say that it's time to say good-bye to GameSpy Arcade and GameSpy Arena. We will no longer be providing any support to these products or services. While they are still open to use if you wish, they are offered "AS-IS" and will not be supported. We can't thank you enough for your years of loyalty to these GameSpy products!"
