GameSpy Multiplayer Shutting Down May 31st
Sad news to those who still enjoy playing on GameSpy supported titles and many of you still on the GameSpy Arcade application. We did our best to keep the community alive, but as of May 31st all multiplayer games still hosted on the GameSpy servers will be shut down.
What does this mean for Arcade? There are litterally thousands of in-game titles and lobbies that will be affected throughout the shutdown first. Eventually the chat server will also be affected at which point Arcade will be disconnected. We don't have an official date when this will all take place, but it has already begun and will continue until the work is complete.
It's been a great pleasure for all of us to have served you over the many years. We have had some great times running events, tournaments and some great chats with you all! We hope that you will join us on Arcade in the home lobby and bid farewell to it all - together.
